Guia M. Mortel
Geospatial Developer (Water Resources)
As a Geospatial Developer (Water Resources) at Confluvio, I map DEM‑derived river networks, develop Python- and ArcPy-based applications and workflows. I aim to contribute to high‑quality geospatial products and analytical frameworks that support water‑resources professionals in addressing complex environmental challenges. My background is in agricultural and bioresource engineering, and I’ve worked on watershed flood assessments, hydrological & crop modeling (HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, AquaCrop, DSSAT), remote-sensing-based inventory, GIS analysis and emergency/drought monitoring. I’m especially interested in water, agriculture, and climate, and I enjoy turning complex spatial data into clear, useful insights that support better water‑resources decision‑making.
